prof. Bogusława Dobek – Ostrowska, senior Ph.D.
The associate profesor in the College of Managemant “Education” in Wrocław and in the Wrocław University, the head of the Section of the Social Communication and Journalism in the Institute of Political Science in the Wrocław University. Her main scholarly interests are political communication and media systems. She has been cooperating with professors D. Hallin and P. Mancini. She has been governing many international projects; currently she is the head of the Polish collective within the scope of the 7th European Commission Framework Programme “MediaAct” and the European Journalism Observatory. She has published over 100 works, including 10 monographs (Media masowe i aktorzy polityczni w świetle studiów nad komunikowaniem politycznym) and textbooks (Komunikowanie polityczne i publiczne). She has been the editor of 11 academic text compilations, the author of over 80 chapters in compiled books and articles in academic periodicals, both Polish and international. She is the editor of Polish Communication Association journal “Central European Journal of Communication”. She is also the head editor of the book series “Nauka o Komunikowaniu” (Communication Science, Adam Marszałek Ed.) and “Komunikowanie i Media” (Communication and Media, Uniwersytet Wrocławski Ed.). She is the president of International Federation of Communication Association, the member of the Liaison Committee ICA and of ECREA.
