prof. Iwona Hofman, senior Ph.D.
Professor in the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the director of the Institute of Journalism in the Faculty of Political Science; the head on the one and only Polish Section of Research of the Polish Literary Institute in Paris. She is the author of six monographs (Ukraina, Litwa, Białoruś w publicystyce paryskiej “Kultury”; Polska, Niemcy, Europa. Program zachodni paryskiej “Kultury”; and others) and of over 120 scholarly articles, the editor of five books concerning the history of mass media and the problems of contemporary journalism. As of late, she has prepared the edition of archive materials of Literary Institute Teczki Giedroycia (2010, together with Leopold Unger). Her main scholarly interests are: journalism genres, journalism studies, political culture. In the year 2010 she has obtained the honorary title of Woman of Lublin Region in the category of science.
